On the basis of Resolution 1/2008, Switzerland performs the border veterinary control here on behalf of the EU. The same import regulations and restrictions apply in terms of approved airports as for all imports into Switzerland.

If the domicile of the importer responsible for the consignment is in the import region as defined in Article 2, paragraph x of the ordinance on the import, transit and export of animals and animal products (EDAV), advance notice of the consignment must be entered in the electronic system TRACES. Otherwise the manually completed page 1 of the CVED (link) may be used.
