They are applicable subject to the import bans effective on the day of import, temporary restrictions and special conditions (see links).
The following may be imported without restriction (in accordance with Annex XIV Chapter II Section 5.1 of Regulation (EU) 142/2011):
Game trophies / other animal preparations that have undergone treatment or are presented in a condition that does not pose any health risks, provided they are from
species other than ungulates, birds and animals of the biological class Insecta (insects) or Arachnida (spiders) and
animals from a region that is not subject to any restrictions due to an outbreak of serious transmissible diseases, to which the animals of the species concerned are susceptible.
Game trophies / other animal preparations that derive from ungulates or birds and have undergone full taxidermy treatment
Mounted ungulates or birds or mounted parts of such animals
Anatomical preparations (e.g. plastination)
Animals of the biological class Insecta or Arachnida, which have been subject to a treatment (such as drying)

Game trophies and animal preparations must conform to the requirements set forth in Annex XIV Chapter II Section 5 of Regulation (EU) 142/2011 (see links).
Approved countries of origin
The following applies according to Annex XIV Chapter II Section 1 Table 2 of Regulation (EU) 142/2011:
a) In the case of treated game trophies / other animal preparations of birds and ungulates that consist solely of bone, horns, hooves, claws, antlers, teeth, hides or skins, as set forth in Annex XIV Chapter II Section 5 of Regulation (EU) 142/2011: any country
b) In the case of untreated game trophies / other animal preparations that consist of whole body parts, as set forth in Annex XIV Chapter II Section 5 of Regulation (EU) 142/2011:
• Birds: countries as, listed in Annex I Part 1 of Regulation (EC) 798/2008, from which the importation of fresh poultry meat is permitted.
Plus: Greenland, Tunisia
• Ungulates: countries as, listed in Annex II Part 1 of Regulation ( (EU) 206/2010, from which the importation of fresh meat of ungulates is permitted, including any restrictions laid down in the column for special remarks on fresh meat (see also (EU) 144/2011).
Approved supplying establishments in third countries
Lists of suppliers in third countries must be included in the TRACES system according to the technical specifications published by the Commission on its website. The veterinary authorities of the approved country of origin are responsible for permitting goods for export only from suppliers that meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1069/2009 and Regulation (EU) 142/2011.
