Reptiles, amphibians and other animal species from the EU

Veterinary rules on on importing reptiles, amphibians and animals of other species from the EU to Switzerland - except mammals, aquaculture animals, bees and bumble-bees.

They apply with reservation as to import bans, temporary sanitary restrictions and special conditions in force at the time of import.

Additional requirements of the law for fisheries must be kept to import  fresh water crabs and live fish. You find them  - as well as the conditions to import live fish intended for direct human consumption - at the chapter 
To import insects (except bees an bumble-bees, for which there are specific conditions on this site), mites and some types of nematodes, a permit of the Federal office for agriculture is necessary - see:

Supplementary specific requirements on importing “other non mammal species” from the EU (other than "aquaculture animals", bees and bumble-bees):

Neither a permit based on laws on epizootics nor health v^certificates are required to import.
1. the animals must not show any clinical signs of disease, and
2. stem from holdings and regions not subject to any animal-health restrictions.
